Author Guidelines

Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully read the journal's policies and the official manuscript template before submitting their work. All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the ANANTA Online Journal System (OJS). Submissions via email or other means will not be considered.

ANANTA publishes original, high-quality research articles that have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and scholarly English. Either British or American English may be used, provided that spelling and terminology remain consistent throughout the manuscript. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread prior to submission.

The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools is permitted only to improve language, grammar, readability, or formatting. AI tools must not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific content of their manuscripts. The use of AI to fabricate data, generate research findings, manipulate images, or produce misleading scientific content is strictly prohibited. Any substantial use of AI-assisted writing tools should be transparently disclosed in the manuscript.

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official ANANTA Microsoft Word Template. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's formatting requirements may be returned to the authors before entering the peer-review process.

Submission Requirements

Each submission must include the following files:

1. Manuscript

The manuscript should contain:
- Title
- Author name(s)
- Institutional affiliation(s)
- Email address(es)
- ORCID iD(s) (recommended)
- Main manuscript
The manuscript should contain 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, figures, and appendices where applicable.

2. Similarity Report

The editorial office will check all submitted manuscripts using Plagiarism Checker X, Turnitin, iThenticate, or other plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts should have an overall similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, quotations, and bibliographic materials. The similarity report is intended for the authors' reference and future use. To maintain publication integrity, the journal's plagiarism screening and assessment during the editorial process shall be considered final.

3. Cover Letter (Optional but Recommended)

Authors are encouraged to submit a brief cover letter explaining the significance, originality, and contribution of the manuscript to the field.

Manuscript Organization

Submitted manuscripts must be organized in the following order.

Title

The title should accurately reflect the content of the manuscript, be informative and concise, and contain no more than 20 words. Avoid abbreviations and unnecessary capitalization.

Abstract

The abstract should consist of 200–250 words and briefly present:
- research background;
- research objectives;
- methodology;
- principal findings; and
- conclusion.
The abstract must not contain citations, references, abbreviations, or undefined technical terms.
Provide up to five keywords arranged alphabetically and separated by semicolons.

Introduction

The introduction should establish the background and significance of the study by presenting a real-world, evidence-based problem. Authors should avoid overly general or unsupported opening statements. The section should critically review relevant literature, identify the research gap, explain the novelty of the study, and conclude with clearly stated research objectives or research questions.
Authors are encouraged to synthesize previous studies rather than merely describe them. Most cited literature should consist of recent primary sources published within the last ten years.

Methods

The Methods section should provide sufficient detail to enable replication of the study. Authors should clearly describe the research design, participants or data sources, research instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques.
Where appropriate, authors should explain instrument validity and reliability, trustworthiness procedures for qualitative research, statistical analyses for quantitative studies, and ethical approval for research involving human participants.
Research findings should not be reported in this section.

Findings

The Findings section should present the research results objectively and systematically without interpretation. Results should directly address the research objectives or research questions.
Tables, figures, graphs, or other visualizations are encouraged to improve clarity. Every table and figure must be clearly numbered, appropriately captioned, cited within the text, and accompanied by explanatory paragraphs.

Discussions

The Discussion section should interpret the findings in relation to existing theories and previous studies. Authors should explain the significance of the findings, highlight similarities or differences with previous research, discuss theoretical and practical implications, and clearly demonstrate the originality and contribution of the study.
This section should also acknowledge the limitations of the research and provide recommendations for future studies.
The findings and discussions must be presented as separate sections.

Conclusions

The conclusions should directly address the research objectives by summarizing the principal findings without introducing new data, references, or arguments. Authors should emphasize the contribution, originality, and implications of the study. Where appropriate, limitations and suggestions for future research may be briefly presented.

Acknowledgements (Optional)

Authors may acknowledge funding agencies, institutions, or individuals who contributed to the study but do not meet the criteria for authorship. Funding information, including grant numbers where applicable, should be clearly stated.

References

ANANTA adopts the APA Style (7th Edition) for all in-text citations and references.
Authors must:
- include a minimum of 25 references;
- ensure that at least 80% of references are primary sources, such as peer-reviewed journal articles;
- prioritize literature published within the last ten years;
- provide DOI links whenever available; and
- use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles previously published in ANANTA where appropriate. However, excessive self-citation or coercive citation practices are not permitted.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability, originality, and compliance with the journal's policies. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a detailed Response to Reviewers document explaining how each comment has been addressed.

Publication Ethics

ANANTA adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. Authors are expected to uphold the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics. Any form of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, or unethical research practice constitutes grounds for immediate rejection or retraction.
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, that all listed authors have approved the submission, and that any necessary ethical approval has been obtained prior to conducting the research.
